I had such a wonderful stay from my first day. I wish I could’ve stayed longer. Great for solo travelers. Met so many cool people, good shared spaces that promote that social hostel vibe you want, and nice pool. Everything felt clean, multiple bathroom options on-site, a yoga studio overlooking the jungle and river. I couldn’t have asked for more from a hostel. My bed was comfy, room felt clean, nice storage for stuff in the bed. I have no complaints besides the bar being a little pricey but byo stuff solved that. Such a magical stay in a magical place.

The location of the hostel was amazing, you’re only a quick walk from the city center square! Workers at the front desk are super friendly and answered all of our questions. We opted to receive their spa massage special and it was very relaxing. Rooms were super comfortable and a lot of amenities included as well as add on tours & spa services offered. The bed itself was HUGE and by far our comfiest stay in our 16 days in CR and a private bathroom. A unique spot to meet like minded travelers and have a relaxing spot to unwind at the end of the night.

This is my second time staying at a Selina in Costa Rica, and once again, they exceeded my expectations in many ways. The rooms were a bit compact but had very comfortable beds, which One minor issue was the lack of curtains. The bathrooms in the rooms were very spacious, and having air conditioning in the dorms is a huge plus, especially in the Costa Rican climate. The overall vibe at Selina is delightful. Location is perfect, within walking distance of dozens of restaurants, several grocery stores, and many other attractions. One area that could use improvement is the bar service. The staff seemed somewhat disinterested, Also, I would love to see more variety in the evening social activities beyond just karaoke and painting. Despite these small issues, all other staff members, including the night security staff, were extremely courteous and helpful.

The hostel’s location is excellent, and the front desk staff are wonderful. I stayed in a spacious 6-person dormitory, and the rooms and bathrooms were well-maintained, although bed curtains were missing. The pool area is fantastic, and the communal kitchen is very useful. The restaurant and bar offer good food and drinks, but the service from the waitstaff could be more courteous.
